CN Canadian Women's Tour Rewards Players with Merit in 2010 by Jennifer Sproul

The CN Canadian Women's Tour is open to female professionals, amateur and junior golfers who have a handicap factor of 4.0 or better. Entry fees for each championship are $375 for professionals and $275 for amateurs. The CN Canadian Women's Tour offers a great forum to further your competitive edge while competing for exemptions into the 2010 CN Canadian Women's Open. Any woman, with a great handicap, could be just a few rounds of golf away from competing on the LPGA Tour!

New this year, the top three on the season-ending Order of Merit standings at the conclusion of the final tour event will be awarded direct entry (with their entry fees paid) into both the LPGA Sectional Qualifying Tournaments (each a $5,000 value). Golf Canada, along with partner CN, are hoping this exemption will improve the field of quality at the events.

"This year the CN Canadian Women's Tour season is going to be one of our best yet," said Richard Kuypers, Tournament Coordinator, CN Canadian Women's Open.

The CN Canadian Women's Tour schedule offers great golf courses, and fabulous host cities. Click here for the championship schedule.

The purse for each of the CN Canadian Women's Tour events is $60,000 per championship, with a $10,000 winner's cheque awarded to the champion of each event. Interested parties can apply online.

The CN Canadian Women's Open Qualifier will be held August 23, at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
