Practice Aid Review:
Teego, by Jeffrey Reed

What’s the most frustrating part of beating balls at the range? No, it’s not hitting the ball picker. When you’re practicing off the tee, it can be time consuming repeatedly teeing up before every swing. Not only can this be murder on the back, but it can also hamper your practice time.
Slammin’ Sammy Snead once quipped, “Practice puts brains in your muscles.” He was right. Golf is truly a game of muscle memory. For this very reason, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida-based company Teego launched their practice aid product, the Teego golf ball tee-up machine and dispenser. That’s a mouthful, but this product is worth its weight in gold.
As a lower back pain sufferer, my practice time is often limited due to the fact I can’t bribe any of my friends or family to accompany me to the range three times a week, just to put balls on the tee and fetch me water. Teego offers a unique solution to this problem. Here’s how it works.
Made of durable impact resistant polycarbonite plastic, and standing just under 2 ft., Teego works entirely via gravity – no motors nor batteries. Simply tap a side button with your club of choice, and a ball slides out of the dispenser, down the arm and right onto your tee – any type of tee. Of course, you can use Teego without a tee, too. It works on mats or grass, holds 80 balls, is lightweight and is easily transported with an attached strap.
Here’s how Teego provides you with a perfect practice partner. It allows you to stop wasting time and energy teeing it up, and instead helps build a repeatable swing – the key to a successful golf game.
Teego is most successful used in conjunction with tees that don’t move after your swing, for example a rubber tee or Teego’s special Range Tee. Teego works with most mats, but may need to be raised with Teego’s stand extension kit if using a thicker industrial-type range mat.
I found the Teego extremely easy to use, quickly assembled without any hassles, and a welcomed addition during a day when my back was not at its best. The MSRP is $100 US.
