Accessory Review: Shake’m Golf Ball Cleaner, by Jeffrey Reed
The new Shake’m Golf Ball Cleaner is advertised with the slogan, "A few shakes is all it takes." Not exactly – a little water, and a few drops of window cleaner are needed, too. But this inexpensive ($3.95 US) pocket-sized plastic cylinder – it looks like a large salt shaker – is a handy little product when you’re not near a conventional ball washer.
Manufactured in Muncie, Indiana, the Shake’m Golf Ball Cleaner works like this: fill the bottle half full with water, add a few drops of window cleaner, put your ball into the cylinder (lined with a scrub brush sponge), shake it, and presto! Your Pro V1 is sparkling clean. Not rocket science, is it? But it could save you a few strokes when you’re out of clean balls and the course’s washers are dry.
Throw the Shake’m Golf Ball Cleaner into your bag before your round, and watch grass and dirt disappear before your very eyes. Visit www.shakemgolf.com.
