Accessory Review: Ogio Travel Bags, Laptop Case
by Jeffrey Reed, Editor, LondonOntarioGolf.com
There’s a reason Ogio is the Official Golf Gear Bag of London Ontario Golf: Ogio bags are great looking, user friendly and tough as nails. It’s a rare trio of characteristics but a triple threat when you’re on the go as much as we are while covering the golf scene in southwestern Ontario.
This month, we take a look at three products from Ogio which deserve the spotlight.
Ogio Brain Bucket
Looking for a compact yet durable, reliable laptop carry case? The Brain Bucket fits most 17-inch laptops, measures 12 inches high x 18 inches wide x 2 inches deep, and weighs just 0.26 kg. Boasting a capacity of 550 cubic inches, the Brain Bucket is constructed with ballistic-grade nylon and compression straps that protect your valuable laptop computer. A padded laptop sleeve offers more protection than you’ll ever need.
The black Brain Bucket also features a front sleeve with mesh bottom, internal elastic compression strap, and a durable handle. I like the Brain Bucket for times when I only want to travel with my laptop and a few necessities like paper, pen and cell phone. It’s a good addition to the Ogio laptop carry case family.
Ogio Layover
An eye-catching overnighter, the Layover is sized to fit overhead bins, and includes two-stage Pullman handle plus smooth urethane wheels for optimum navigation. There are two, low-profile external pockets, plus plenty of space for shoes and other overnight necessities. A new 3-inch expansion zipper is available for the return trip with new acquisitions.
Internal compression straps, multiple grab handles, a back identification pocket with magazine flap, custom OGIO ID sleeve, skate wheels for added stability over curbs or rough terrain are all part of this airline regulation carry-on bag. It measures 22 inches high x 14 inches wide x 10 inches deep, and weighs 3.6 kg. It’s a perfect travel companion, and comes in black, red, brown plaid and Glenn plaid.
Ogio Terminal
This big boy has more features than a Swiss Army knife, and it’s sharp looking, too. Measuring 29 inches high x 16 inches wide x 13 inches deep, the Terminal is a rolling duffel bag with bold blocks of colour. Weighing in at 4.8 kg, the Terminal features two oversized panels, interior mesh dividers, suit straps and neoprene lining – all of which can be manoeuvred with a retractable Pullman handle.
The Terminal, available in black, red, brown plaid and Glenn plaid, also boasts an internal compression strap, two large external pockets, skate wheels and a custom OGIO ID sleeve. This one’s a winner. It holds much more than you think, and makes time away from home a little more comfortable.
