Accessory Review: Hold-N-One
by Jeffrey Reed
If you’re a golf aficionado like me (rather, a golf pack rat), then you appreciate the Hold-N-One, a new accessory from The Other Edge, Inc.
With so much emphasis on the 300-yard drive, it’s good to know that the Hold-N-One proves once again that great golf gear comes in small packages. In fact, this wall-mounted bag holder protects your valuable clubs while storing your bag in approximately one square foot of space. I know my better half appreciates this, when I’m told that our basement rec room is starting to resemble the bag room at the club.
Here’s how the Hold-N-One works. Quite simply, it mounts your golf bag to the wall with a secure, quick-release latch. With the bag top heavy from clubheads, this accessory stabilizes the bag, preventing your 2-year-old from toppling your Titleists all over the floor. The neat thing about this gizmo is, you can mount it inside a closet, where your clubs will be safe and sound. And, if you store your clubs in the garage, there are no more worries about scratched doors or dented hoods.
The Hold-N-One is designed to hold standard cart bags, carry bags and the popular stand bags. I use mine with a stand bag, which, when full of clubs, doesn’t stand in a stable manner by itself. Instead of spreading the bag’s legs, the Hold-N-One allows for easy, out-of-the-way storage.
The spring clip system in the Hold-N-One is strong and secure. Once it’s mounted on the wall at a height so that the arm hangs over the lip of your bag, simply flip the arm up to put the Hold-N-One in its resting position. Once you’ve played 18, just push the bag against the spring-loaded centre, and the arm will automatically flip down to hold your bag steady.
I strongly recommend this great little golf accessory. Get it now and your wife will thank you for giving back the rec room.
