ECCO Ultra Performance

ECCO is passionate about shoes. So, when the Danish shoe company set out to create a golf shoe which aims to improve your game, it didn't spare any research and development efforts. The result? Welcome, ECCO Ultra Performance golf shoe.

Concurrently, when London Ontario Golf set out to form ties with a company which would earn the title, Official Shoe of London Ontario Golf, we didn't spare any effort, either. As is documented here, I have club feet but walk the course. Top-notch shoes are imperative to my low handicap index, just are the proper clubs and ball. In the ECCO Ultra Performance, we have found a new champion in golf footwear.

As mentioned, my special needs as a golfer include proper fitting footwear. ECCO gets it right in the Ultra Performance, a shoe which I believe will help any level golfer better their score. The key is the close fit to the foot, which provides enhanced performance, greater overall support and improve stabalization. If a shoe can fit like a glove, then the ECCO Ultra Performance wins first prize.

Here's the skinny on the Ultra Performance. Supportive leather uppers - water-repellent and Hydromax-treated - with metal detailing give this shoe a sharp, sporty look. Your great-grandfather did not wear these shoes. An anatomically shaped 5 mm insole unit enhances performance, too. A unique, three-component combination includes polyester, ECCO CFS and an EVA shell. The triple density, lightweight, multi-coloured TPU outsole boasts stability islands for extreme traction and grip. And the CHAMP Stinger III cleat with Q-Lok system offers even more torsional stability.

According to ECCO, "The lightweight Ultra Performance Golf Shoe is a detail-by-detail rethink of a golf shoe. Our direct-injection PU technology lets us accomplish what no one else has - the creation of varying densities only millimeters apart. High-torsion 'stability islands' maximize your swing platform, while softer density zones enable extreme flex for optimal follow though. A Carbon Fiber Reinforced Shank further enhances stability, supporting the entire foot arch.
