Accessory Review:
Bushnell Tour V2 Laser Rangefinder with PinSeeker
by Jeffrey Reed, Editor, LondonOntarioGolf.com
Are you using a rangefinder yet? If not, you should. I added one to my bag full-time last season, and recorded a 60 - in just over three hours on the links. It has definitely helped improve my game - not to mention quicken my rounds. And with golf associations embracing the use of laser rangefinders, there really is no excuse not to use one if playing the best golf of your life is your goal.
Speaking of best, here's the best laser rangefinder we've tested: the Bushnell Tour V2 Laser Rangefinder. In fact, it was handed a 100% Overall Approval Rating by the PGA Tour Partner's Club Member Tested & Recommended Seal of Approval.
Everything about Bushnell's latest rangefinder is perfectly crafted and designed - Bushnell leaves nothing to chance. What else would you expect from the Bushnell Outdoor Products, the leading global manufacturer and marketer of branded consumer products including Bushnell, Tasco, Serengeti, Bollé, Uncle Mike's Law Enforcement and other industry-leading products? I've always liked my Bushnell binoculars, but I love the Tour V2 Laser Rangefinder. Here's why.
The Tour V2 with PinSeeker - now with patented Slope Technology - gives you exact distance to up-hill or down-hill targets. Ergonomically vertically configured - a great feature when measuring your distance to the flag - the Tour V2 Laser Rangefinder features a built-in inclinometer for a compensated distance based upon the degree of incline or decline. It's capable of ranging up to 300 yards to the flag stick, and 700 yards to trees - without the need for reflectors as is the case with some other rangefinders.
One PGA Tour Partner said the Tour V2 "was excellent for determining exact distance to the flag, especially on blind greens where all you see is a portion of the stick." This is critical to accurate yardage. And in PinSeeker mode, the Tour V2 locks in on the flagstick, minimizing inaccurate readings.
The Tour V2 also features: 5X magnification; SCAN mode; in-view LCD display; adjustable eyepiece; multi-coated optics; built-in tripod mount; and includes a 3V battery. MSRP: $399.
One of the funniest moments for me on a golf course occurred when an irate golfer inaccurately blasted me for using a cell phone on the course. In fact, I wasted no time in pulling out my Bushnell rangefinder before pulling off a great hybrid shot onto a par-5 green. Just goes to show you that a rangefinder is certainly not a cumbersome piece of golf equipment.
There's nothing inaccurate about the Bushnell Tour V2 Laser Rangefinder. Find out more at www.bushnellgolf.com.
