AUR (pronounced eh you are)
AUR was successfully launched in 2008 as the new Face of Aureus and Aurea. Times change, people evolve and yet philosophies persevere. Our philosophy for this authentic golf brand is and will continue to be that of providing the most value-added, aspiring golf fashion on the market. AUR is setting the groundwork for expansion into the global marketplace and creating a buzz on the PGA TOUR. As we continue our transition with a new look and relevant name that tells the story of being more compact, with more impact; we also look to the future and expand our product offering to truly encompass All That You Are.
AUR: Active, Audacious, Authentic, Aware.
The categories may be summarized as follows:
Active: Our AUR Dri-Max category that offers an assortment of styles that provide technical benefits such as moisture wicking, anti-odour, easy care etc. 100% Polyster or Polyster / Spandex blend, this category performs.
Audacious: Audacious is comprised of styles designed for the more fashion conscious consumer. A little added touch of design detailing such as a vertical placement argyle print, for example, sets this category apart.
Authentic: A collection of 100% Cotton Polos and Layering pieces including vests, mock neck, ½ zip, and full zip, to name a few. A must have category to complete your wardrobe when dressing for the course.
Aware: Our new category focusing on using renewable resources and being environmentally conscious. As advancements in fabric technologies continue to develop and society is being advised to go green, this becomes a necessity and commitment we are more than happy to take on.
2009 Design Direction
For the AUR 2009 Spring collection we have taken the latest innovation in manufacturing technology and applied them to our classic golf polos to give them a new edge - our Active tech polos, AUR Dri-Max, are the perfect blend of fabric innovation and manufacturing technology with laser cut, welded mesh inserts providing the ultimate in moisture management. Blending technology with performance fabrics to provide a superior golf shirt mixing function with fashion.
Green is the new black. The new Aware category keeps with the trend of eco chic. Our line of environmentally friendly fabrications solidifies our commitment to meeting the ever-changing demands of our clients and their needs. The Eco chic trend is no longer about rough, coarse fabrics. The Aware category testifies to this with luxurious recycled polyester, performance enhancing Nanobon and soft cotton bamboo blends.
What's New & Exciting For 2009?
First launched with three product categories, Active, Audacious and Authentic, AUR has added a fourth collection entitled Aware. This new addition for 2009 encompasses an offering of product that focuses on renewable resources. The name says it all; and the Aware category lives up to this name by providing styles that are made from Recycled Polyester (EcoSmart), Cotton / Bamboo Blends and Nanobon Fabric Technology. What is EcoSmart?
EcoSmart is a fabric made from Recycled Polyester Yarn. Recycled polyester yarn is made from plastic post-consumer based products.

Why is it environmentally friendly?
It is environmentally friendly by reducing fossil fuel consumption and green house gases when compared to regular Polyester fabrication.

E-Cotton (Cotton Bamboo) FAQs
What is E-Cotton?
E-Cotton is a fabric made by combining bamboo derived fibres (bamboo is basically pounded until it becomes threads of fibre) and cotton.
What are the benefits?

Naturally soft:
Bamboo apparel is softer than the softest cotton, and it has a natural sheen like silk or cashmere.

Bamboo clothing has excellent wicking properties - ideal for warm summer days.
Absorbs moisture:
A cross-section of bamboo fibre reveals various micro-holes, allowing bamboo cloth to have superior absorption - four times more absorbent than cotton.
Breathable:
The porous qualities of bamboo fibre account for its added breathability; clothing made of bamboo resists clinging during hot weather or exercise.
Anti-bacterial:
Bamboo fabric contains a naturally occurring anti-microbial agent, which prevents bacteria from cultivating within the fibres, keeping you odour free.

Nanobon FAQs
What is Nanobon?
Carbonized bamboo particles are combined with a polyester yarn and knit into a garment. If you look inside this shirt you will notice it is grey - this is a result of the addition of the bamboo charcoal. For this reason, you will never find a perfect white Nanobon shirt.

Why is it environmentally responsible?
In order to have the added benefits above one would either have to add a chemical finish to the shirt or as we do, simply add the carbonized bamboo. Bamboo is a renewable resource. This is environmentally friendly - the chemical route is not.
