After all, Adams Golf is best-known for its top-notch, Tour-proven hybrids. But don't for a moment think this golf club manufacturer is a one trick pony. As you'll read, Adams Golf is today one of the big boys of the golf club game, ranking right up there with the Titleists, Callaways and Pings of the world.<br> <br> And to think Adams Golf began as one man's dream. It was, in fact, founder Barney Adams who turned me onto Adams golf gear. You can read my interview with Barney <a href="http://www.londonontariogolf.com/reviews/general/general-interview_with_barney_adams.htm" target="_blank">here</a>. <br> <br> This time around, we focus on three of the latest offerings from Adams Golf: the Speedline 9032LS Driver; Speedline 9032Ti Fairway Wood; and Idea a7 Hybrids. All three are winners.<br> <br> <strong>Speedline 9032LS Driver</strong><br> <br><img src="../../images/adamsdriver2.jpg" alt="Speedline 9032LS Driver" width="175" height="314" align="left"> The past few years have produced such outstanding Adams drivers as the Insight Tech a4 and the Insight XTD Pro (my weapon of choice for two seasons). Enter the Speedline 9032LS. The second-generation driver of its product line, the Speedline 9032LS boasts Adams' aerodynamic technology for faster club head speed and more distance. Adams measures the decrease in drag and airflow turbulence as resulting in 3-4 MPH higher club head speed.<br> <br> The Speedline 9032LS driver produces 10 per cent less spin than the original Speedline driver, and the face area has been increased 17.3 per cent (deep, long). The recognizable heel/toe scoops are 1.5x deeper, thus producing more stability.<br><br> I tested the 9.5&ordm; model with stiff 60 g Aldila VooDoo NV stock shaft (there are 8.5&ordm; and 10.5&ordm; options, too). As this driver is lighter than my trusty Insight XTD Pro, I wasn't sure what to expect. Yet after one session at the range, I was hooked. The new Speedline 9032LS is longer and, without a doubt, allows this 40-something low-handicapper to increase swing speed. And thanks to the geniuses at Adams, stability wasn't an issue. This is one heck of a straight driver, too.<br><br> Two thumbs up for the 9032LS driver from Adams Golf.<br><br> <strong>Speedline 9032Ti Fairway Wood</strong><br><br> <img src="../../images/fairwayadams.jpg" alt="fairwayadams" width="175" height="308" align="right"> Last season, I made the switch from a traditional fairway metal to a hybrid-influenced fairway metal - in specific, the Adams Golf XTD Pro Hybrid fairway metal. Make room for the Speedline 9032Ti Hybrid fairway metal. Boasting a slightly larger head, and 80 g Tungsten sole weight, this hybrid fairway club is incredibly long and easy to hit. <br><br> The secret of this club's success, of course, is the elongated face and ideal CG/MOI. In simple terms, getting the ball airborne is a cinch with this club. A very low CG is 22 per cent lower than a standard fairway wood, and the crown is 25 per cent thinner, while the titanium body is 40 per cent lighter. <br><br> I tested the strong 3-wood 14.5&ordm; (there's a 13&ordm; loft and 18&ordm; loft, too) with 43.5-in. Aldila VooDoo NV 70 g stiff shaft. The 18&ordm; club has a 42.5-in. shaft. With a strong head wind, this club allowed the pill to cut through the gusts like a hot knife through butter. I did find the trajectory to be a little higher than the XTD Pro Hybrid fairway metal, but workability was not an issue. <br><br> Looking for an easy-to-hit fairway wood with crazy distance? Give the Speedline 9032Ti Hybrid fairway wood a try.<br><br> <strong>Idea a7 Hybrids</strong> <br><br><img src="../../images/hybridadams.jpg" alt="hybridadams" width="175" height="287" align="left"> As good as the Idea Tech a4 Hybrids were, take it from me: they don't compare to the new Idea a7 Hybrids. These clubs are a huge improvement over the a4s. In fact, Adams says it took the best attributes of several generations of the Pro Hybrids to create this latest line. <br><br> I tested the 19&ordm; 3-hybrid and 22&ordm; 4-hybrid, and was pleasantly surprised by how much these clubs have evolved. A 41 g rear weighting increases launch angle and carry distance. The sole camber makes rescuing your game from any lie a breeze. A mid-to-high launch angle is ideal. And, I absolutely love the shaft match with the UST Proforce AXIV Core Black graphite shaft  much improved over the Matrix Ozik Altus shaft I played in the Idea Tech a4 model. <br><br> Adams Golf Idea a7 Hybrids are also available in 17&ordm; and 25&ordm; models. Each Idea a7 Hybrid is matched with a proper-length shaft (higher the loft, shorter the shaft). <br><br> High, soft-landing shots while hitting down, and boring trajectories while sweeping a fade or draw were as easy to hit as making a one-foot putt. These clubs are money. Adams has done it again with the Idea a7 Hybrids, some of the very best on the market. <br><br> Don't just listen to me.
